Laboratory Information and Safety
Physical Sciences Lab Requirements
- All students are required to purchase & wear: a full length style (38 – 42 inches long) lab coat and Chemical Splash Safety Goggles certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z87.1-1989.
- Long hair must be pulled back in a pony tail.
- Closed-toe shoes that are chemical resistant must be worn to lab.
- If you miss the first lab meeting, you must contact your Lab Instructor & watch the Required Lab Safety Video before coming to the next Lab meeting.
- Access & read the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemicals that you’ll use in your experiment.
