Hurricane season begins on June 1^st and ends on November 30^th. Broward College has a multi-layered alert system approach to emergency communications should a storm threaten South Florida. The Broward College Alert system (BC Alert) is used to distribute emergency notifications and includes telephone calls, emails, text messages and social media posts. For the BC Alert system to be most effective, users should review their contact information and update, as necessary.
