Biological Sciences Lab Requirements

  1. Students who are absent from the first lab must contact their instructor before attending the next lab meeting.
  2. Students enrolled in BSC1005L, BSC2010L or BSC2011L should either print off the appropriate lab experiment posted on D2L prior to attending lab or be able to access the experiment information during lab by using a personal device such as a tablet or smart phone. Your instructor will provide specific directions for your lab.
  3. Students enrolled in BSC2085L, BSC2086L, MCB2010L or ZOO2010L should purchase the assigned lab manual before attending the first lab.
  4. Biological Sciences Laboratory students must adhere to the following instructions or you will be asked to leave the lab:
    • Wear shoes that fully surround and cover the feet completely in the laboratory
      (No Sandals, Flip-Flops, Mules, Crocs, or Ballet Flats)
    • Wear Biosafety glasses
    • Wear Laboratory coat per course requirement (See syllabus)
    • Pull back long hair

Lab Schedules and Safety Contracts

All Lab students should review their Lab Schedule(s) and Student Science Laboratory Safety Contract prior to taking part in lab.
