How to do Research at Broward College?

The Science and Wellness Department on North Campus offers undergraduate research opportunities and houses various small collections. Students interested in conducting research must first consult with a Broward College Instructor who is willing to supervise their project. Additionally, students may need special permission to register for one of the directed independent research courses. You may proceed by doing the following:

  1. Utilize the Broward College Library Resources page to get resources related to the research project you are considering and look at other ways that the Broward College Library may assist you. (Link opens in new window)
  2. Register for Directed Independent Research course PSC2910 (for Physical Sciences research) or Directed Independent Research course BSC2910 (for Biological Sciences research).
  3. Alternatively, you may ask your instructor about participating in a current Broward College facilitated Community College Undergraduate Research Initiative (CCURI) project.  (Link opens in new window)
