How to do Research at Broward College?

We have undergraduate research opportunities and various small collections in the Science & Wellness Department on North Campus. To conduct research, students must first consult with & get permission from a Broward College Instructor interested in supervising their project. You may proceed by doing the following:

  1. Utilizing our Broward College Library to get resources related to the research project you are considering. Look at the many ways the Broward College Library may help you by visiting their site here: https://bconline.broward.edu/shared/Library/libraryresources.html? (Link opens in new window)
  2. Register for Directed Independent Research course PSC2910 (for Physical Sciences research) or Directed Independent Research course BSC2910 (for Biological Sciences research).
  3. Alternatively, you may ask your instructor about participating in a current Broward College facilitated Community College Undergraduate Research Initiative (CCURI) project. Please explore the CCURI site at this link: https://www.ccuri.us/ (Link opens in new window)
