2025 Student Writing Contest
Calling All Broward College Writers!
Do you dream of breathing new life into the past? Unleash your creative spirit in the 2025 AHCD SpringFest Writing Contest!
Theme: “Renaissance: Making the Old New”
This year’s theme invites you to explore a historical concept, object, or event and reimagine it for a modern audience. Think of the ways technology, culture, or society have evolved – how can you bridge that gap with your writing?
Inspiration
Inspired by the haunting beauty and spiritual depth of The Monstrance by Bryan D. Dietrich and the bold spirit of our 2025 AHCD SpringFest theme, “Renaissance: Making the Old New,” we invite you to reimagine the classical humanities in a modern, daring way. Explore the themes of faith, doubt, and the human condition through the lens of your own creative expression.
The Monstrance
The Monstrance is a collection of poems that delves into the complexities of faith, doubt, and the human experience. Dietrich’s evocative language and unflinching honesty invite readers to confront their own spiritual journeys. The poems explore themes of loss, love, and the search for meaning in a world often shrouded in darkness.
